Ezer Slit Lamp ESL-Emerald-18 Zoom
The dynamic range in magnification power of the ESL-Emerald-18 grants it the nickname “Zoom”. The continuous field of view provides advantages over fixed magnification slit lamp instruments. Traditional fixed magnification slit lamps require large jumps in magnification between objectives causing the object in focus to be lost in the zooming process. With continuous zoom the object observed is never lost in sight while magnification is occurring which allows the practitioner to quickly change perspectives. The “zoom” is easily varied by the rotation of a drum and provides a seamless magnification range from 11x to ~33x to allow for a more fluid workflow for the visual health doctors.

Ezer ESL-Emerald-18 Slit Lamp Microscope provides a more accurate diagnostic with specialized optics and increaded magnifications levels.
The ergonomic design of ESL-Emerald-18 provides a clear and detailed illumination and observations for patients eye.
Convergent optics for user’s comfort usage while still images and videos can be taken adequately in place.
The Japanese ESL-Emerald-TN tonometer(sold separately) is a precision application tonometer designed to mount onto slit lamp equipped stereomicroscopes used for measuring intraocular pressure (IOP). The ESL-Emerald-TN works by contacting the applanation measuring cone to the eye and slowly applying pressure to the corneal surface using the measurement until it temporarily flattens.
The instrument can house either a halogen or an LED lamp for tower slit illumination. Incorporating the latest LED Technology to ensure the best spectrum of light for slit lamp observation to identify eye diseases at early stages. The high illumination LED is built for longevity and decreases the energy consumption of the instrument making it the most dependable choice for daily use over many years. Even if the LED lamp house needs to be changed someshow, users do not have to change the whole column part since the lamp house assembly itself is replaceable. This energy saving light source generates no UV and less heat, which reduces the stress to patient’s eye. The LED option does not generate heat, making the exam experience more comfortable for the patient. The illumination LED have the same color as the ilumination Halogen.
The detection of aberrant conditions is aided by standard cobalt blue, red free, heat absorption and ½ ND filters which are upgradable. Once an anomaly is detected the attachable digital video camera beam splitter can be used by the visual health doctors to capture stills or videos of the observation.
The ergonomic design allows for easy light volume control as the illumination control knob is at the base of the device and in close proximity to the joystick. The visual health doctors can make light intensity adjustments without moving their hand away from the joystick.
The base of the device houses the joystick, and its color is selectable from a variety of cover options to match your theme.
The efficient design of the instrument incorporates a built-in C-mount where a camera can be attached for capture of observed abnormalities and easier record keeping.
