Traditional units require constant adjustments, wasting time and causing work-related strain and injury to the clinician’s back and shoulders. The mechanized rotating table on the Genova Refraction Unit neatly accommodates two instruments and can be rotated, raised, or lowered with the push of a button.
Safety
The built-in lock feature stops the chair and table from moving, preventing harmful mishaps. When everything is lined up, clinicians can use the control panel to adjust slit lamp intensity, turn instruments on and off, power the chart projector, and turn on the overhead light.
Fully Mobile for Efficient Exams
The ergonomic mechanized chair on the Genova Refraction Unit can be raised and lowered by the doctor using the touchpad with no effort on the patient’s part. Moreover, the chair can rotate 90 degrees to make getting in and out painless and can be manually reclined to a horizontal position for procedures like applying eye drops. No matter what position the chair is in, the patient will be kept comfortable with the built-in footrest and armrests.
Wheelchair Accessibility
For patients in a wheelchair or with mobility issues, the chair can be removed manually. The ophthalmic chair can be moved aside with the use of its own base plate in order to make the unit accessible for wheelchair patients.
Footrest and Chair Arms
The Genova’s comforts features aren’t just for the doctor; this refraction unit is designed to keep the patient calm and secure through their entire visit. Cozy armrests flank both sides of the ergonomic chair, while the footrest gives patients a convenient spot to put their feet up and relax.
Phoropter Arm (sold separately)
The phoropter arm is adjustable, and can move up and down. Once in the right position, it is easy to lock it into place.
Lighting
The Genova’s dimmable LED lighting system allows the operators to easily adjust the light intensity using the sleek, electronic operator-friendly control panel.
Control Panel
The control panel on the Genova isn’t just for moving things around, however. Using the touchpad, the operator can easily activate the chart projector and turn instruments on and off. Once an instrument is on, users can adjust the illumination brightness with the panel. The controls also operate the included overhead light, which helps clinicians see what they’re doing regardless of ambient lighting.
Drawers
The refraction unit includes drawers for extra storage.
