Haag-Streit-Style Tower Illumination

The ESL-2600 features a Haag-Streit-style tower illumination system positioned above the observation system, allowing the illumination column to be decoupled along the vertical meridian. This provides greater flexibility by minimizing unwanted reflections during gonioscopy and increasing the peripheral field of view during indirect ophthalmoscopy.

Two-level magnification

The advanced optics of the ESL-2600 offer two-level magnification that can be easily changed during the examination, from 1x to 1.6x, using the lever conveniently located on the instrument. The total magnifications are equivalent to 10x (Ø18 mm) and 16x (Ø14.5 mm) with the 10x eyepiece.

Wide binocular field of view for pupillary distance adjustment

The Ezer ESL-2600 offers a very wide binocular field of view of Ø18 mm and Ø14.5 mm, with high resolution, a pupillary distance (PD) adjustment range of 55 mm to 82 mm, and a diopter adjustment of up to ±5D.

High-clarity luminance and integrated filters

The ESL-2600 uses a bulb that provides incredible clarity. Four filters integrated into the illumination path can be effortlessly inserted using the selection lever. Options include a heat absorption filter that improves patient comfort during prolonged examinations, a Red-Free filter that enhances the contrast of structures, a cobalt blue filter for fluorescein evaluation, and a gray filter.

Continuous slit rotation and aperture adjustment

The ESL-2600 features a slit projection magnification of 2/3x and allows continuous adjustment of the slit width from 0 mm to 9 mm. At 9 mm, the slit becomes a circle. The slit height is also continuously adjustable from 1 mm to 8 mm. The aperture diameters are Ø9 mm, Ø8 mm, Ø5 mm, Ø3 mm, Ø2 mm, Ø1 mm, and Ø0.2 mm. The slit angle is continuously adjustable from vertical to horizontal, from 0° to 180°.

Ergonomic illumination control design

The classic and refined design of the ESL-2600 allows for precise movements and easy operation of the joystick and knobs. For example, the illumination lever is conveniently located next to the joystick. The brightness control switch can be set to High or Normal, further streamlining diagnostic procedures.

Integrated Control Joystick

The integrated joystick is easy to control and allows the operator to obtain sharp images. The ESL-2600 base operation offers the following movements to provide flexibility, comfort, and precision: forward and backward movement of up to 90 mm; left-right movement of up to 100 mm; fine movement of up to 15 mm; and vertical movement of up to 30 mm. The joystick moves horizontally for fine adjustment and vertically for height and alignment with the target. Once proper alignment is achieved, the base can be locked to prevent it from sliding.

Optional accessories

The Ezer ESL-2600 slit lamp can be equipped with the TN-150 / TN-150B applanation tonometer or with the Haag-Streit AG R-900 or T-900 applanation tonometer to measure intraocular pressure.
