Ezer Manual Refractor ERF-5200
The Ezer ERF-5200 Manual Refractor Phoropter delivers precise refractive error measurements due to its superb optical system.
With Ezer’s ERF-5200 Manual Refractor, you can efficiently and confidently perform all of the functions necessary in a manual refraction. Featuring an attractive design and incredibly wide range of powers, the ERF-5200 allows you to precisely refract and perform vision testing on virtually any patient. An even greater testing range is made possible with the use of auxiliary lenses. An easy-to-use convergence system that allows you to switch between distance and near with one simple flip of a lever is just one of many examples of how smartly designed the ERF-5200 is. The unit can even be customized with a wide range of auxiliary lens options—all of which are coated in high-grade plated film, eliminating any glare or ghost images. You truly can’t go wrong with the ERF-5200.

Interpupillary Adjustment The wide range of adjustment from 1.88in through 2.95in and easy to read scale in 0.04in graduation. Convenient knobs, located in both sides, entable smmoth and rapid adjustment. |
Level Adjustment Level adjustment can be made easily, one-touch operation by using the leveling knob and level. |
Rotary Prism This high-end Ezer refractor allows for vertical and horizontal measurements of 0 to 20∆ in 1∆ steps. It has also a click stop that permit you to measure horizontal and vertical strabismus and heterophoria. |
Adjusted Cylinder Power and Axis The cylinder lens graduated in 0.25D steps allows adjustments from 0 to -6.00D and with the accessory lens -2.00D, it is posible to extend adjustment range up to -8.00D in 0.12D. The cylinder axis can be adjustment up to 0° ~ 180° in 5 steps. Each adjustment can be made rapidly with two snobs on the same axis. |
Cross Cylinder The cross cylinder loupe rotates automatically through a special syncronized mechanism with the control knob, to change the cylinder lens axis. The cross cylinder knob on the ERF-5200 is conveniently synchronized with the cylinder axis knob. For even greater precision in wider ranges, ±0.37D and ±0.50D cross cylinder lenses are available. |
Corneal Alignment Device It is used to align the corneal verted of the patient and set the patient’s cornea in the correct position (at 12mm from the view tester lenses). Measurement should be made at the "0" position of the scale. |
Convergence System Precise measurement is possible with the lens set at a suitable angle for near vision testing (by closing the convergente lever inward) as well as for distance (by opening it outward). This converges the optical system coincident to the convergence of the patient’s eye while the patient looks througth the correct optical centers. Therefore, this unique system enseres perfect testing. |

Adjusting Sphere Power Readings The ERF-5200 comes standard with a pair of -2.00D auxiliary cylinder lenses, as well as a pair of -0.12D auxiliary cylinder lenses. Optional accessories include +10.00D, -10.00D and +2.50D (for retinoscope) auxiliary spherical lenses, as well as ±0.37D and ±0.50D cross cylinder lenses. Spherical power ranges from -19.00D to +16.75D to -10.00D in 0.25D steps. By using the unit's auxiliary lens, you can measure -29.00D to +26.75D in 0.12D steps. For speed and convenience, sphere power can be changed in 3.00D steps by turning the spherical power quick forwarding dial. |

Near Point Scale and Chart The scale can be graduated in "Inches", "Centimeters" and "Diopters". It can be set at distance you like to use and when it is not in use, it can be stored in a standing position. The Near Point Chart contains a notable disc with 12 kinds of test on both sides. The scale is 26.4in length. |
