Nd:YAG TREATMENT GUIDELINES*
These guidelines have been prepared following industry standards for Nd:YAG treatments. The use of the laser and its parameters is the responsibility of the treating ophthalmologist.
Nd:YAG OTHER TREATMENTS
Although the MR Q clinical evaluation did not contemplate these parameters, the following treatments are described for Nd:YAG use.
BINOCULARS IN FOCUS
In the realm of ophthalmic treatments, precision is paramount. Binoculars in focus play a pivotal role in achieving unparalleled accuracy during laser procedures. Ensuring that each user's oculars are set for their personal refraction guarantees that the laser remains in perfect parfocality with the aiming beam and the retina. This essential alignment minimizes any potential for defocused slit lamps, which could lead to unpredictable laser burns.
ABOUT THE OFFSETUnderstanding the dynamics of laser energy emission is crucial to maintaining safety throughout procedures. Laser energy travels towards the point of emission, which is to the front of the eye. When shooting with a zero-offset, the risk of lens pitting increases significantly. To ensure utmost safety and accuracy, practitioners must diligently check and adjust the offset before performing any treatment.
