Ezer Slit Lamp ESL-Emerald-26 5X
The revolutionary Japanese design and new features of the ESL-Emerald-26 LED/Halogen yield top of the line optical efficiency which allow visual health doctors to perform a complete and thorough slit lamp examination. Slit lamp tower illumination is possible through either halogen or LED. The Ezer LED options are energy saving and generate no UV resulting in minimal strain to the patients’ eyes and allowing for a relaxed and pleasant patient experience. The LED background illumination system grants clear and bright images of slit light. With 58,000 Lux, the ESL-Emerald-26 has the maximal intensity for slit illumination out of all Ezer slit lamps.

With an optional compatible digital video camera beam splitter (sold separately), both halogen and LED illumination are optimal options for taking crisp digital still images and movies making it easier to keep record of every observation. This digital imaging modality incorporates easy to use software that allows users to add edits and comments to an image capture, and effortlessly file documents.
An easy-to-use application for taking pictures, capturing vídeos and sorting diles included in a package of Emerald-VD-3.2 (sold separately). Categories of images can be freely edites and a comment can be added to an image captured. 6 camera property settings can be stored for different types of observation. For quick start, 6 preset camera property settings are available as soon as the system is installed.
Magnification power of the ESL-Emerald-26 is comparable only to that of the ESL-Emerald-12 “5 Steps” which supports 5 objectives (6x, 10x, 16, 25, 40x) ensuring a thorough patient examination and easier detection of abnormalities. Drum rotation allows the practitioner to easily move between objectives.
The ESL-Emerald-26 provide a unique convergent type binocular microscope for high quality optics and excellent image quality for all ophthalmology demands.
Convergent optics for user’s comfort usage while still images and videos can be taken adequately in place. The ESL-Emerald-26 takes fine and crisp images with high quality sensor and simple connection system.
The Japanese ESL-Emerald-TN tonometer(sold separately) is a precision application tonometer designed to mount onto slit lamp equipped stereomicroscopes used for measuring intraocular pressure (IOP). The ESL-Emerald-TN works by contacting the applanation measuring cone to the eye and slowly applying pressure to the corneal surface using the measurement until it temporarily flattens.
The instrument can house either a halogen or an LED lamp for tower slit illumination. Incorporating the latest LED Technology to ensure the best spectrum of light for slit lamp observation to identify eye diseases at early stages.
The high illumination LED is built for longevity and decreases the energy consumption of the instrument making it the most dependable choice for daily use over many years. Even if the LED lamp house needs to be changed someshow, users do not have to change the whole column part since the lamp house assembly itself is replaceable. This energy saving light source generates no UV and less heat, which reduces the stress to patient’s eye. The illumination LED have the same color as the ilumination Halogen.
Contact lens fitting is optimized for the ESL-Emerald-26 like in no other instrument. Aside from a cobalt blue filter, the instrument increases ease of contact lens fitting with a unique “S.I. GRANDE” function that provides a 14 mm illumination field adjustable by a single click action. Position 1 offers a 0 - 14 mm range, while position 2 offers a 0 - 8 mm range.
The ESL-Emerald 26 LED and Halogen feature the LED background illumination system which allows you to take clear and bright images of slit light. The light intensity of LED is set within the extent that does not give too much damage to human eyes. The light diffuser is useful when the full view of an eye is observed. The ergonomic layout of the instrument was designed for the comfort of the patient and operator. Aside from the comfortable chin rest, a large focus distance of 106 mm and a light diffuser, that can be used by the practitioner when a full view of the eye is desired, increase patient comfort.
The proximity of all controls allows for easily accessible operation by the practitioner. Within close reach at the base of the instrument the operator may manipulate all camera functions such as video recording, capturing stills, light intensity control(light volume controller) and background illumination.
With the importance of early detection in mind, the ESL-Emeral-26 is equipped with standard cobalt blue and red free filters for better visualization of nerve fibers, blood vessels and hemorrhages, and corneal damage.
